Deepika Padukone is an Indian film actress who was born on 5th Januray 1986. She is the daughter of Prakash Padukone who is a badminton player. She was born in Copenhagen but spent her childhood in Bangalore. She studied from Sophia High School which is located in Bangalore and from Mount Carmel College.  She quite her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Indira Gandhi National Open University due to the scheduling clashes with her modelling career.

Deepika Padukone is a very efficient badminton player and has played in national level championships. She could have had a career in sports but she quit sports in order to become a model. Deepika Padukon is a multi talented personality who is an actor, a model, a player and also a spokesperson for various public issues.

Deepika Padukone started her career as a model,  and due to her attractive personality she was noticed by various film directors. Her first bollywood movie was a Kannada film Aishwarya (2006). After it she worked as a lead actress alongside Shahrukh Khan in Om Shanti Om (2007). Her performance was praised by the viewers and she won the filmfare award for best female debut for her work.

Deepika Padukone Controversies

On 14 September 2014, the Times of India tweeted: "OMG: Deepika Padukone's cleavage show." After it, Deepika bashed at TOI's tweet for this inappropriate heading and tweeted, "Yes I am a woman. I have breasts. I have a cleavage. You got a problem?." She also received support from both fans and film fraternity, after the Times of India published a report and a photo dedicated to the actress’s cleavage. Later, the story and tweet were removed from Twitter.
After her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor, she cheekily commented on Ranbir on a popular chat show "Koffee with Karan" that Ranbir should endorse a condom brand.
After her marriage with Ranveer Singh, an Italian Sikh group alleged that the Sikh code of conduct was violated in their Sindhi-Punjabi wedding.
On 7 January 2020, she joined the JNU vigil, in which many students were injured in the JNU hostel attacks, to show her support and condemn the brutal attack on JNU students that happened on 5 January 2020. The movie star was in town for the promotion of her movie Chhapaak and visited the protesting students at Jawaharlal Nehru University to express her solidarity against the JNU attack. She said, “I feel angry that this is happening. At the same time, it is a matter of concern that action is not being taken." On 21 September 2020, Deepika Padukone's name appeared in the drug probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death by the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB). Some news channels indicated her involvement in the drug racket in Bollywood based on WhatsApp chats from October 2017. In the chats, a ‘K’ and a ‘D’ are discussing drug supplies with Sushant’s former manager Jaya Saha; ‘D’ asking for “maal” from ‘K’ who replies that she has it, but it is at home. ‘D’ also then clarifies that she needs “hash” and not “weed” as they plan to meet up at a restaurant.

Deepika was born into a Konkani family in Denmark, but her family moved back to Bengaluru when she was 11 months old.
She was not a social person at a young age and had very few friends.
Inspired by her badminton legend father, Prakash Padukone, she started playing badminton at a young age and played State-level badminton till the 10th standard.
Though she wanted to become a Badminton player, she changed her mind and started modeling.
In order to become a model, she relocated to Mumbai from Bengaluru and stayed at her aunt’s home.
Deepika made her first catwalk when she was 17 years old.
Deepika won the “Model of the Year” award at the 5th annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards.
In 2004, she came into limelight with her “oof yu maa!” ad for Liril Orange.
It was Salman Khan who first spotted her talent and offered her a offer me a film, but at that time she had just started her modelling career and wasn’t ready to do films.
